Hair is so personal.

For many men and women, of all ages and hair types, the journey toward healthy, thriving hair is a long and winding one. While dealing with things like stubborn frizz or dull color, we’ve all opted for quick fixes — many of which come with some serious fine print that looks a lot like damage.

If you’re dealing with damage like breakage, frizz, or hair thinning, you’ve probably started researching for miracle cures. The truth is that a lot of the so-called best hair vitamins and biotin vitamins have been insufficiently vetted by the medical and wellness communities.

We’re here to tell you there’s a better way.

Wellbel is an all-natural, vegan, clean, and drug-free supplement that helps nourish your hair, skin, and nails from within. From 1A to 4C, Wellbel supports hair growth and improves hair health.

Every day, we hear stories from our community that show us how these ingredients have the power to radically change people’s self-confidence. Today, we want to share one from Stephanie, who lost her hair from chemical damage and recovered it with Wellbel.

Stephanie’s Recovery From Hair Damage

I woke up one day and had a good head of hair and the next I was losing my hair in clumps.

My hair-loss journey started after doing a keratin treatment (the one without formaldehyde, or so they say).

Fun fact: even if your keratin treatment is formaldehyde-free, the other chemicals when heated can literally turn into formaldehyde.

I was in college, and frankly, I wanted an easy fix to my frizzy curls. But what no stylist told me was the drastic damage it would do to my hair. Keratin traumatizes your hair root, causing it to thin and eventually fall out. Imagine coating your hair in chemicals then applying very high heat to it.

I stopped the keratin, but wasn’t properly equipped in how to stop the shedding. Then I graduated undergrad, applied to a master’s, and got in. Woo-hoo!

My master’s at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine was two years long. I studied Skin Biology & Dermatological Sciences. Fortunately, my science courses focused on hair, skin, and nails being and were taught by brilliant dermatologists. This is where my true hair regrowth journey started.

I learned important facts about hair regrowth.

The most basic being, eat your protein. If you don’t fuel your body with enough protein, it will divert amino acids to active areas like your immune system, muscles, and metabolic enzymes. Your skin and hair are basically non-essential to your body’s protective decisions. Meaning when you don’t eat protein your hair sheds, your skin repairs very slowly, and you age prematurely.

Second, stress is a major enemy for your hair. I was taking eight classes, working in a research lab, trying to get enough sleep, see my family, get a job, eat healthy, workout, the list could go on for hours. My plate was full and I was stressed, despite trying to alleviate it.

Then, I started learning the key role of certain vitamins and minerals in hair regrowth. Vitamins and minerals are important for normal cell growth and function and can contribute to hair loss when you are deficient. Truth is, we are almost all deficient in some vitamins. Our soils are depleted of nutrients. Our current modern agricultural methods in the US have stripped our soil. Our vegetables have 24% less magnesium, 59% less zinc, and 27% less iron since 1940. These are vital for our overall health.

As I was exploring hair growth supplements, I was surprised by the extreme amounts of biotin being marketed. Biotin can cause problems if you take too much. It can trigger acne, rashes, and even kidney problems. I found other hair supplements that had shark as an ingredient, which turned me off quickly.

Then by chance, I found Wellbel online. The first thing I did was read the ingredients. Here’s a breakdown on why I loved their ingredients so much:

  • Vitamin A: All cells need vitamin A for growth. Vitamin A produces sebum and sebum moisturizes the scalp and keeps your hair healthy!
  • Vitamin D: Vitamin D plays a key role in stimulating new and old hair follicles. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to alopecia areata, a condition that causes bald patches on the scalp and other areas of the body.
  • Folate: This helps to promote hair growth and it can even reduce the rate of premature greying.
  • Vitamin B-12: Vitamin B-12 promotes healthy hair growth because it assists in the production of red blood cells which are oxygen-rich, which feed hair follicles.
  • Selenium: This ingredient was big for me; I have a thyroid disorder and selenium is essential for the thyroid hormones that help regulate hair growth.
  • Biotin: In the proper amounts (like in Wellbel), biotin stimulates keratin production in hair and can increase the rate of follicle growth.

Wellbel’s ingredients made so much sense to me, especially with my science background.

These days we are so overwhelmed by what products to buy, what foods to eat, what exercise to do, but we all just want something that works. Wellbel works. It has forever changed my hair, skin, and nails.

My hair is shinier and healthier, my nails have never been longer, and my skin is clear and happy! Thank you Wellbel for creating something with such integrity.

You’ve given me my confidence back.
